Air Duct Installation
New Air Duct Installation for Homes and Additions
Adding central air to an older home, finishing a basement, or building an addition? New ductwork needs to be designed, not just hung.
We size and route ducts so each room gets the airflow it needs, with sealed connections and proper insulation from day one.

- Based in Cape May Court House

Designed for airflow, built to last
Duct design starts with how much air each room needs, based on its size, windows, and exposure. From there we size the trunk lines and branches, plan a return air path, and route everything to keep runs as short and straight as practical.
Every joint is mechanically fastened and sealed, and ducts in unconditioned spaces like attics and crawlspaces are insulated. In damp coastal crawlspaces, we pay particular attention to support and clearance from the ground.

Air Duct Installation questions
Can you add ductwork to a finished home?
Often, yes, using attics, crawlspaces, closets, and chases. Where ducts aren’t practical, a ductless mini-split may be a better fit.
Sheet metal or flex duct?
Sheet metal is more durable and has better airflow for trunk lines. Flex duct is useful for short branch runs. Most systems use a combination.
Do I need a permit?
New ductwork connected to an HVAC system typically requires a permit in New Jersey. We handle permitting for our installations.
Can new ducts connect to my existing system?
If your equipment has enough capacity, yes. We’ll check whether it can handle the added space.
