Ductless Mini-Split Repair

Ductless Mini-Split Repair and Troubleshooting

Mini-splits are reliable, but when one starts blinking error codes, dripping water, or blowing room-temperature air, it needs someone who knows inverter systems.

We repair indoor heads and outdoor units from all major ductless manufacturers across Cape May County.

Ductless systems need a different kind of diagnosis

Mini-splits use variable-speed inverter compressors and communicate between indoor and outdoor units with circuit boards. Many problems show up as a blinking light or error code. We read those codes against manufacturer service data and test sensors, boards, and wiring to pinpoint the fault.

Plenty of mini-split “failures” turn out to be a clogged blower wheel or drain line, especially in units that haven’t been cleaned in a few years. We’ll check the simple causes first before recommending parts.

Our repair process

  1. Step 1

    Note the code

If your unit shows an error code or blink pattern, tell us when you call.

  2. Step 2

    Diagnose

We test sensors, boards, refrigerant pressures, and the drain system.

  3. Step 3

    Quote the repair

You’ll know the cost and options before we order or replace anything.

  4. Step 4

    Fix and confirm

We repair the fault and run each zone in heating and cooling.

Ductless Mini-Split Repair questions

Why is my mini-split leaking water inside?

Usually a clogged drain line or a dirty blower wheel and coil that’s throwing condensate. A cleaning often solves it. An improperly pitched drain line can also cause leaks.

What does a blinking light mean?

Most manufacturers use blink patterns as error codes. Write down the color and number of blinks and tell us when you call. It helps narrow down the cause.

My mini-split smells musty. Is that a problem?

It usually means mold or biofilm has built up on the blower wheel and coil. It isn’t a repair issue so much as a cleaning one. See our mini-split maintenance service.

Do you repair systems you didn’t install?

Yes. We service ductless systems regardless of who installed them.
