Air Duct Maintenance
Air Duct Inspection and Maintenance
Ducts don’t have moving parts, but they do degrade. Joints loosen, insulation slips, and flex duct sags. Periodic inspection catches those problems before they cost you.
We inspect your ductwork, make minor corrections on the spot, and let you know if anything bigger needs attention.

What we look for
During a duct inspection we check accessible supply and return runs for separated joints, crushed or kinked sections, and missing or damaged insulation. We look at register boots and the return plenum, where leaks are especially common, and measure airflow at the vents.
In shore homes we also check for moisture problems: condensation on uninsulated ducts in crawlspaces, rust on sheet metal, and signs of pests. Catching these early prevents mold and costly repairs.

Air Duct Maintenance questions
How often should ducts be inspected?
Every few years is reasonable for most homes, or any time you notice comfort or airflow changes. Adding it to a seasonal tune-up is convenient.
Do you offer duct cleaning?
Our duct maintenance focuses on the condition and performance of the ductwork. If heavy contamination is a concern, let us know and we’ll talk through options.
What causes condensation on my ducts?
Cold supply ducts in humid crawlspaces or attics will sweat if they aren’t insulated. That moisture can lead to mold and rot, so it should be addressed.
Can you inspect ducts during a home sale?
Yes. Let us know your timeline when you call.
